Secret Project - Pt. 7

Wednesday, September 5, 2012

Woke up early today and finished this image before noon.

After lots of planning and countless delays, I finally feel like this project is gaining a bit of momentum. All of the art should be finished by the end of 2012.

Secret Project - pt. 6

I've spent a lot of time working on cave interiors today...
LIFE LESSON: Stalactites are fun to draw. Stalagmites are a pain and a half.

Secret Project - pt. 5

Thursday, June 28, 2012

After a long time away from this project, I'm picking it up again with renewed enthusiasm! I had a breakthrough after watching Brave (which was excellent and you should definitely go see) and it's made a big difference in terms of how I'm going to approach this assignment. I've made some more progress with the character designs for some of the supporting roles. I'm determined to have at least one page fully inked and colored by September.

Secret Project - pt. 4

I've been working on some of the details of the G.G. Project.
Her tech is slowly taking shape, one piece at a time.

Secret Project - pt. 3

Finally getting back to work on Project GG:

My first attempt at the giant lizard's design wasn't right at all.
It had the creature crawling around on it's belly and was sort of emotionless and bland.

The second version was MUCH more successful!

It's visually interesting, and it's got personality, without feeling human.
I like it a little more each time I look at it.

I really want to complete the first issue by the end of the 2011.
It's already JUNE, so I need to get on it.

More updates as they become available!

Mid-Week Update

Thursday, March 31, 2011

I finished that Invisible Woman commission today.

My markers went wonky, so I'm not 100% satisfied with it, but it still came out pretty good.

I also redesigned the gauntlets for GG's costume.

Updated designs for the main character of Project G.G.

The headset is finally complete, but the rest of her bodysuit is still a work in progress.

I hate her gauntlets right now and although her boots look pretty cool, I think they would benefit from a little tweaking as well.

Once I finalize the designs for G.G., the rest of the cast should fall right into place. Here's hoping it's that easy.
